An idea born from an inspired author at Louisville Elementary School.

ABOUT
When I was in sixth grade all students had a project called Genius Hour. Students were able to choose anything they wanted to learn about and then create a project on that topic. I decided to write a book about my experiences with students with intellectual disabilities. I was a student with many of those friends in my classrooms at Louisville Elementary School. I hope the message of this book shows people that no matter the degree of disability, everyone needs to be included with their peers in and out of school.

“I hope this book can spread the message that no matter a person’s background, they can be treated equally by their peers.” Liv Shaw

Olivia ‘Liv’ Shaw, author
When it comes to writing Olivia likes to free write, because there are no rules to follow when writing. She hopes this book spreads the message that all kids are equal and should be a part of each classroom no matter what their differences may be. This book is very important to Olivia because everyone deserves to be treated fair by their peers.
